Diwas is a PhD student at the School of Social Sciences at Loughborough University. Diwas’ research aims to understand the intergenerational transmission of the memories of the 1947 partition of India in the British south Asian community. It focuses on the use of animation and related arts based methodologies as a primary tool of enquiry.

Julia Giese is a PhD Student at the Institute for Media and Creative Industries at Loughborough University London. She is interested in the role dance has as a carrier of memories of migration, belonging and Partition among the female Bengali diaspora in London.
